What We Do

Saint Aidan’s Anglican Church is dedicated bringing God’s kingdom here on earth.  To do this, we participate in a number of activities to be available and accountable to God, to each other, and to our neighbors.

Worship
At St. Aidan’s, we have weekly worship at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

We also hold occasional services to celebrate holy days or to celebrate saints.

A nursery is available for children 3 and under during all church worship services.

In addition, each family at St. Aidan’s is encouraged to participate in short daily morning, noon, and evening prayer at home.

Study
We have weekly Bible Study for adults on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

There is also a Lesson Time for children on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

We also have a Men’s group and a Women’s group that meet monthly.

Fellowship
The first Sunday of each month is “Potluck” day at St. Aidan’s.  Each family brings a meal to share and there are sometimes even themes for the meals.

We also have a small meal on Wednesday nights that is open to the community.  Soup is ready at 5:30 p.m. and available until Bible Study begins at 7:00 p.m.

Service
St. Aidan’s partners with the Jessamine County Food Pantry to distribute food on the third Thursday of each month.

Our annual Bazaar is held each June to let us meet and serve our neighbors.  There is free food, children’s activities, and sno-cones as well as a cheap yard sale with proceeds benefiting a local non-profit group.

Members of St. Aidan’s are also working with the Lexington Leadership Council to bring Read to Succeed, an after school literacy program, to Jessamine County beginning in January of 2014.
